These Terms govern your use of the One VTU mobile application and this website (together, "the Service"), provided by Neekhil. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Independence disclaimer
One VTU is an independent, unofficial study application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) or any of its affiliated colleges. All university names, marks and logos belong to their respective owners and are referenced only to describe the academic content the Service organises.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. The Service is designed for college and university students.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide, including your USN, college, branch, scheme and semester. Content is filtered using these values, so incorrect details will show you the wrong material.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to claim referral rewards is prohibited.
You may delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.
4. Academic content — reference only
Syllabus documents, schemes, previous year question papers, results, formulas, notes, job posts and project ideas are provided for reference and revision only. We make reasonable efforts to keep them current, but:
We do not warrant that any academic content is complete, current or accurate.
Always confirm with your college and the university official notifications before relying on a date, a syllabus, an exam pattern or a result.
Copyright in third-party academic material belongs to its owners. It is reproduced here for the private study of students. If you own material shown in the Service and want it removed, email support@onevtu.in and we will take it down promptly.
5. AI features
AI Professor, AI Quiz, Daily Quiz, AI Study Timetable, Flashcards and Top Questions use large language models supplied by a third-party provider that you configure with your own API key.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. Treat every answer, predicted question, explanation and generated timetable as a study aid to verify, not as authoritative academic guidance.
You are responsible for complying with the terms of the AI provider you choose, and for any cost your API key incurs.
Do not use the AI features to cheat in an examination or to violate your institution academic integrity rules. Doing so is your responsibility, not ours.
Do not upload confidential or unlawful material, embargoed examination papers, identity documents, or another person personal data.
6. Student Marketplace
The Marketplace lets students list study material and equipment to other students. We are not a party to any transaction.
You are solely responsible for your listings, for the accuracy of what you describe, and for the safety of any meeting or payment you arrange.
Anything you post is public to other users, including the contact number or email you enter. Do not post information you are unwilling to make public.
We do not verify listings, sellers, buyers, item condition, or that any transaction completes. We do not handle payments and offer no escrow, refund or dispute resolution.
Meet in a public place. Inspect before you pay. Never send money in advance to someone you have not met.
Prohibited listings and conduct are set out in the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.
7. Your content and the licence you grant
You keep ownership of what you create — listings, photos, notes, flashcards and documents. By posting content to a public area of the Service, such as a Marketplace listing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already cached or retained as required by law.
You confirm that you have the right to post the content and that it does not infringe anyone rights.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Post unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or infringing content
Impersonate another person, a college, or the university
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
Scrape, mass-download, reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the Service or its content
Interfere with advertising, or use automation to generate ad impressions, clicks or rewarded views
Abuse the referral or credit system, including self-referral, fake accounts, or emulator farms
Use the Service to spam other users, or to collect their contact details in bulk
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and we may do so without prior notice where the breach is serious.
9. Referral credits
Credits are a promotional balance inside the Service. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or exchanged for cash, and expire if your account is deleted. We may adjust, withhold or reverse credits obtained through abuse or error, and we may change or end the referral programme at any time.
10. Advertising
The Service is free and supported by advertising. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob and its partner networks. We do not control which ads are shown and do not endorse advertised products. Your advertising choices are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend or remove features, and we may stop offering the Service. We will give reasonable notice in the App where we can. Backing up your own data is your responsibility — see the backup feature in the App.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that academic content is accurate or current.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neekhil will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, marks, academic opportunity, profit or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. This includes loss arising from reliance on academic content, from AI output, from a Marketplace transaction, or from data you failed to back up.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which for a free app is zero) or INR 1,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Neekhil against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from content you posted, from your breach of these Terms, or from a transaction you entered into with another user.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 7, 12, 13, 14 and 16 survive termination.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Effective date" above will change, the new version will be published at this URL, and material changes will be notified in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the update.
