When VTU declares your result

Every session, when it was announced, and what to do once yours is out.

VTU announces each semester's results on its own portal, and only there. This page tracks when each session was declared, and what to do once yours is out. It is a date table, not a result checker — you enter your USN on the official VTU portal, and nowhere else.

Last checked 22 September 2026

This page does not show results, and will never ask for your USN. It tracks when VTU declares each session and points you at the only place that publishes them. Results are checked on the official portal, and nowhere else.

Announced so far

A session with no date yet is one VTU has not published. We leave it blank rather than estimate.

You will need your University Seat Number. No password.

Once it is out

Checking it takes a minute

  1. 1. Open the official portal and choose your course — BE, B.Tech, B.Arch, MBA and the rest each have their own link.
  2. 2. Pick the examination session you sat, for example May/June 2026.
  3. 3. Enter your USN and submit. There is no login.
  4. 4. Save the PDF. It is a provisional marksheet — the signed one comes from your college later.

One thing that surprises students every year: VTU now declares results astonishingly fast. For the May/June 2026 session the sixth-semester BE and B.Tech results went up five minutes after the final practical exam ended. Waiting weeks to check is a habit from the old process.

If the marks look wrong

Revaluation has a short window

Revaluation is ₹600 per subject for UG and ₹3,000 for PG, with challenge valuation at ₹5,000 and a photocopy of a UG answer script at ₹400 — VTU’s own Examination Manual figures. Autonomous colleges set their own, often higher.

There is no fixed last date. VTU notifies a window after each set of results and your college displays it, and an application that misses it is rejected with the fee gone.

Keep every attempt

A result you can still read in your final year

The app fetches your VTU result by USN, saves each attempt on your phone, and keeps a backlog count that treats a cleared subject as cleared.

Results & Backlogs
When are VTU results announced?
There is no fixed date, and VTU does not publish one in advance. The long-run pattern has been odd semesters (1, 3, 5, 7) between January and March, and even semesters (2, 4, 6, 8) between June and August. Recently it has been far quicker than that: for the May/June 2026 examinations VTU declared the sixth-semester BE/B.Tech results on 30 June 2026, five minutes after the final practical exam ended. The announcement appears on VTU's own results portal, so that is the only place worth watching.
Where do I check my VTU result?
On VTU's own results portal, results.vtu.ac.in. Pick your course, pick the examination session, then enter your University Seat Number. No password or login is needed, and VTU never asks for one. What you get is a provisional marksheet — your college issues the signed one later. Your USN is all it takes to pull your marks, so enter it only on the official portal or in an app you installed yourself, never on a website you arrived at from a search result.
How much does VTU revaluation cost?
Per VTU's Examination Manual 2024, revaluation is ₹600 per subject for UG and ₹3,000 per subject for PG. Challenge valuation is ₹5,000 per subject, and a photocopy of a UG answer script is ₹400 per subject. Autonomous colleges set their own fees and are often higher, so confirm against the notification your college posts for the session.
What is the last date to apply for VTU revaluation?
There is no fixed date — VTU notifies a window after each set of results, and your college displays it. Missing the window means the application is rejected and the fee is not refunded, so treat your college's notice as the deadline. Paying late carries a penalty of at least ₹500 for the first three days, rising to somewhere between ₹2,000 and ₹10,000 after that.
